Category Archives: Unrequited Love

Sat in a car you twisted curls around your fingers.
I wanted to lean in,
Rest my head against your chest.
To just sleep there.
You whispered ‘Ko possible’
And captured more pieces of the secret me,
My surrender complete
I walked away without looking back
Leaving my heart in the passengers seat.

Staring at the screen I can’t see

Between the eye and the flat

A memory or day dream

Of you, of me

I think in illusions

While smell and touch illuminate falsities

You are nothing to me

Much less than you ought to be

Are you lonely in your choices?

Is there warmth in the bed?

Where I’d be the island in the ocean of cotton

And you would swim to me

Oh we can see how you are afraid to enjoy me
